Bet it looks and feels different out there today

I rode (well tried to ride) White on Wednesday. It was my first time to go there and I took the guide books advice and drove to the top parking lot. It was a muddy/snowy mess up there. I made it about two miles around some doubletrack trail before giving up and heading back to my car.

I'm sure it was bad choice of trails (and parking lots) on my part, but I didn't see anything there in my brief 2 miles that was great. Your pics don't look like anything I saw at all, I basically did a two mile route on some doubletrack fire road (Rustlers Something?).

Ah, guidebook, there was your problem. Was my first time too. I started at the bottom, it was really nice down there, Longhorn and Shorthorn in particular. Up top, along Rawhide was pretty messy and I could have done without it.

Dakota Ridge/Redrocks loop today was really nice.
