White Pass Fat Biking

The White Pass Nordic Facility has been allowing me to ride they're Nordic Trails after 3:30pm ("Dog Time"- after 3:30 people can walk they're dogs & such on evenings when they're going to re-groom the next morning) on my fat bike, so far anyway. If your thinking of trying this, please check in with the folks at the Nordic Center (in the yurt located at the entrance to the nordic trails) before heading out.

Music: "OLD GREY COAT" by TONY RICE
not sure if they're going to let me keep this music yet... if it disappears, I'll re-post it with something else...

Well, that is different. First sand then snow. What's next!

Nice filming, you are way more patient than I'd ever be.

Looks cold though.
I just got back from the Methow on Wednesday and I asked them if anyone did the same thing out there. The Methow Cycle and Sport had a Pugsley out front, but the folks said it's pretty frowned upon there and you'd have to find a multi use trail that was open for bikes. I did think that was a bit funny considering the amount of dog ***** people didn't pick up on the 'dog friendly' xc trails. Everyone knows I'm a dog nut, but I've got zero tolerance for inconsiderate owners.

Neat video. I looks like you get pretty good traction, better then I would suspect.

I should re-mention that The WP Nordic Center only allows this type of activity after 3:30 and only when they're going to re-groom the next morning... and if they catch you Not cleaning up after your dog... your not invited back!
You should try the MT Catherine loop at Snoqualmie Pass, some good vert.

Thanks!, I'll have to check in with them about that next time I'm across Snoqualmie. Look's like winter's back now for a bit... I'll be concentrating on the boards this weekend! Winter Carnival at White Pass too, always a good time!
You just keep turning out the great videos! I wanna be like you when I grow up. :)

Our family cross-country skis at WP several times a season (although not this season since my wife did her rotator cuff in last season there) and know those trails well. WP is obsessive about trail grooming which is one reason we like it there. The people at Chelan's Echo Ridge are the only ones more obsessive about trail grooming that WP; the Chelan guy issues a grooming report 3 or 4 times a week!

I'm still working on my video of Long Beach. Not enough cut shots. And the old Hero's non-wide-angle lens sucks... will have to get a new one. And a fat bike. Do you have any idea of the crap my wife is going to put me through when I get that stuff? :D

Thanks for the vid.
