anybody ever change a 29er white brother fork 1.0 travel from 80mm to 100mm or the other way round?
I just picked up a used WB fork 1.0 and the travel has been changed to 80mm
I'd like to chage it back.
anyone want to talk me through this? I have worked on my older Marzocchi forks before, swapping springs and oil chages etc. but the manual for the WB fork seems a bit lacking.
I'd like to see some pictures and oil level advice etc.
thanks!
Chris

Call WB . They have updated their website, with lots of new tech manuals. I don't believe changing travel is possible, without new internals. But I only have experience with the magic forks.

I've done it.

I have a BW 1.0 coil version. The change in travel is done on the non-driveside leg.

For the coil version you need a lube like slick honey to grease the seals, not an oil.

Here is a link to the manual... http://ekosport.com/wb_manuals/2004CoilBW1.pdf

Page 4 of the manual explains travel change. If you look at the diagram on the last page, it is item 32 that you are flipping to change travel, then relube the spring, seals, and reassemble.

If you have questions, call WB and speak to Eric, he is a great resource.
