which wheels?

I'm going to buy a 2008 Gary Fisher Hi-Fi pro. I can keep the stock wheels (Bontrager race lite disc) or pay extra and choose the Shimano wh m775 2008 XT wheelset. Is it worth doing this and if so why? Thanks.:confused:
