hi, I just bought a manitou 3-way swinger for my 04 Trek Liquid. I've seen this shock installed on this bike with the fat end up (the way Trek shows it) and with the fat end down. Does it make any difference? Won't the center of gravity of the bike be very slightly lower with the fat side down?

on the Liquid, fat end down...

makes it alot easier to hook up your shock pump to both valves without kinking the hose. As far as center of gravity, after eating a Carl's Jr. $6 burger for lunch, I'm not too worried about center of gravity! It does seem to me that the shock piston (small end) stays cleaner when mounted in the up position, and that is after a typical dusty So Cal dirt ride. Maybe the main seal will last a little longer?
