I am by all means a beginner in the world of cycling, and would like to learn how to tru my wheels. Thus, I am in search of a decent truing stand for my one and only bike (a Raleigh XXIX). Money is a big issue, so I figured I would come on here and ask for some suggestions. I need a reliable truing stand at a decent price.

Any deals or suggestions on which product to look for will be greatly appreciated!

thx

I've been using this method for over a decade. Works good enough for me doing my own wheel work. If my wheel is hosed to the point where I need a real truing stand, I'll let someone who rebuilds wheels on a daily basis do it for me on their truing stand.
