In japan they are the same price!

Do you even need a seatpost for DH?

It seems a bit of a waste having a Thomson when it spends all it's time dropped without an ass pressed against it to appreciate it's awesomeness!!!!

Surely a cheap seat post, cut down will do.

PS. I have a Thomson Elite too, but I just think it's such a waste as it spends it's time so low down.

I agree with Thompson being a great post, BUT most do cut them down for a DH bike. I ran a Diabolus and cut it way down now run the Evolve DH, saved half the $$ and cut it down to be about 250g. It' basically a Diabolus but not as nice. All you really need is a post with a good clamping system so if you come down hard on the saddle or crash, your sadle wont move on you. I run a Thompson on my AM bike and would not like to have to take the hack saw to it. If you need or want the bling get the Thompson....Just something to think about
