I'm ditching my clipless setup on my HT for some platform Truvativ Holzfeller pedals and a pair of Five.Ten Impacts (too bad they discontinued the Desert Enforcer). Im debating whether to go with the hightop or lowtop version and I want some input. I know this is purely a personal choice, but in many pics and vids I see people with lowtops and Im starting to wonder if the hightop interferes with riding in some way.

lowtops. hightops probably offer more protection, but as an alternative to regular skate shoes they work well. probably not as warm either.

You can still find the desert enforcer, and usually on sale (my friend just picked up a pair).

I personally wear the Marzocchi Bomber version low tops.

I <3 the stealth rubber and you will too.

5-10 is making a black version of the Desert Enforcer that is gonna be out Nov/ Dec. according to 5-10.
It is gonna be called the Urban Enforcer and i think only High top.

- Roll (use)
- high/low ... I am sure you know what high and low top shoes are.

I wear the high tops for the ankle support (my ankles are junk). I can't imagine any way they could interfere with any thing or have any negative effects compared to the low tops.

I like the desert enforcer solely for its looks, I really dont like the black because it looks like the shoes McDonalds employees have to wear.
