What kind of bike build do you have, what kind of riding do you do, does weight matter...

I'd go DHX or DHX air if it's your main bike and you pedal. If it's a pure shuttle vehicle or you push it uphill, then I'd check out the new Marzocchi Roco.

Eye-to-Eye?

will a dhx fit my bike though? anybody know?
I'd go DHX if you're pedaling on it. I've got one on my Mini-Free and it's done me well. What's the eye-to-eye measurement on your shock? Measure from the middle of one eye to the middle of the other. That's the measurement you need to find out if you can fit a DHX.

What size frame?

It should not be a problem, unless it is a small frame. I have an XL 2003 Gemini, with a 5th coil.

The stock size is 7.875x2.25.
My shock is a 8.0x2.25", and it BARELY fits in the long travel position.

call up fox and just ask them, even if someone gives a strait answer, u should still call them, im pretty sure that they make remote resivoirs so u can mount it on the frame somewhere, if not then the only other option is to get a different shock, if it comes down to taht try the 5th cvt5, one of my friends has one of them and he loves it

At the time, it was not available. (out of stock)

I went with the 8x2.25 because we are only talking 125 thousands of an inch longer eye-to-eye.

That was 2 years ago. THe 8.0 may no longer be in production.
