I'm trying to do my homework on an upcoming snowbike/expedition touring wheelset, I'm left wondering which of the superfat rims would be most suitable for heavily loaded durability.

I'm guessing the Surly Large Marge DH would be the strongest.

Are the Speedway 80 and 100 single wall or double? Eyelets?

Anyone know anything about the Vicious Cycles Graceful Fat Sheba 80? Looks alot like the Speedway 80. Same rim?

Thanks,
DG

I think you need to go over to Speedway and talk with Greg and his crew. They will point you in the right direction.

I second Jeff's advice and I'd say that any of those rims would meet your durability requirements. Durability does not seem to be as much of an issue with snow riding. You're not bashing thru rocks or dropping off anything...unless you're planning some type of snow riding I've never heard of. I wouldn't think you'd need the DH Surley rims, that'd just be overkill and additional weight.
