I'm building up a Liquid 65 frame for some of Moab's rougher trails, and honestly I don't know much when it comes to pedals. I rented an 06 Enduro that had platforms that I really liked, what are those? I'm looking for ones that spin smoothly, but are not too loose so they spin for days, and they don't have to deal with much mud so deep cleats aren't too important. Weight is a consideration too.

Tioga MX Pro's are the best value I've found. You can get them for $60 bucks and they weight around 460g's. I have noticed they are broader/wider than most which added stability. They are also considerable thinner than most pedals. I also have the A-frame's which are classic but, there are better pedals on the market.

Wow, pedals get expensesive. Looks like I'll be expanding my budget, lol. Actually though, those specialized pedals aren't the ones, I don't think - these were all red, and a little thicker. But the customizable O rings sounds cool.

I've been an A-frame rider for quite a while. The A-Frames are really tough pedals that last a long time. I have bashed the cr4p out of mine and they just keep right on going.

.

I also recently got me some Cranky 5050XX's

The seem to be pretty bombproof so far. One of the good things about 'em is the grease port on the end of the pedals.

Too soon to tell how long they will stand up to the abuse, but there are a lot to like about them. Removable plates and pins that go in from underneath, and they don't spin round so they are easy to plant your foot back on.

If they last as long as the A-Frames i'll be pleased.
