I am going to build up a new monocog and i have narrowed the fork choice to one of these 2. I will mostly be riding singletrack with the occasional 2-3 foot drops so I want something that can handle my fat @SS(220 lbs.).

2006 Manitou Black Platinum - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=300070941868&rd=1&rd=1

or

Lockout is a must, but if anyone has another option please post it and I will consider it.

The Tora is probably stiffer but is heavier by about a pound. I would go gor the Black because it is better suited for climing and fast riding and the TPC damping is pretty good. The Tora is pretty basic and if you're riding singletrack alot you wont use the u-turn feature much unless you're doing alot of downhill. You're going to keep the travel at 100mm or below for good handling.

JUst some thoughts.

If you decide to go the Tora route I have a new (never mounted and still in the box) Tora 318 U-turn that I will sell for $210 + shipping.
