Hi! I want to get some nice wheels to lower the weight of my bike. I am opting for No tubes olympic rim (will use them as tubeless and with tubes as I have both set of tires) and I need to choose a hubs..

Front need to be QR 15mm

I am slightly on a budget, want to lower the weight of my bike and intend to use the wheels as day-to-day riding. I ride in dry and wet condition (also mud, etc.). My weight is around 125 lbs, so I am a light ride. I don't huck, drop, etc. I will use these wheels for xc riding.

Thanks for sending me your advices :)

A2Z hubs seems very light!
Dt swiss 240s are nice yet a bit expensive
suggestions?

***** Out of Luck.

I'm also recommending ZTR hubs, again. I've got three sets, and I'm about to buy a 4th. Had a muddy nine hour race yesterday (I've never seen so many people pushing their bike b/c of mechanicals), but my ZTR hubs are still spinning smooth as butta.

How much does the ZTR wheelset (apine + ztr) weight? Are they durable and easy to repair if things goes wrong? Do they need to be serviced often?

A2Z hubs, aren't they the same as AC hubs? AC hubs are supposed to be good, no?

A2Z hubs (along with WTB and Rotaz) and AC hubs are made by Chin Haur and use similar technology. But there are material differences especially in the FH mechanism. In addition, AC would be there to provide parts and service.

If you do a search on this forum you will find many complaints about the A2Z/Rotaz rear hubs and find lots of praise for the ZTR hubs.

Alpine + ZTR hubs + DT Revs = 1396g
