Hy. Wanna buy a hardtail for mostly tech. singletracks.
Want something strong, close to the DJ geometry, but
not too heavy and must pedal well.
Don't say Chameleon, cos i haven't got that kind of $$.

Thanks for all

.

What kind of budget do you have? Do you want frame only or complete?
My budget is really small. I saw some compl. hardtails for 450$.
Saw a Mongoose Fireball (450$), a Rockadile LE(450$), a Banshee Scirocco frame (340$), a Jamis Komodo frame (100$).
Prefer complete bike, then upgrade a few things...

Man, that Transition is HOT, the HT of my dreams, but
i'm sure it's not my budget...

Tryin to be as clear as possible:

TARGET: HARDTAIL
FOR USE: ALLMOUNTAIN (TECH. SINGLETRACKS)
REQUIREMENTS: LIGHT, STRONG, PEDAL WELL, COMPATIBLE WITH 150 MM FORK
BUDGET: 450-500$ FOR COMPL.
PREFER: COMPLETE BIKE, THEN UPGRADE

THINKIN OF (all used):

Sasquatch

HARDROCK
Stumpjumper?
Scirocco
Jamis-Komodo
Mongoose-Fireball
Saracen-Mantra3
...

Please recommend, advice, help, etc, etc
Thanks

cos i've heard, it's heavy....
You want to run a 150mm fork on it, so it can't be light, 5+ lbs I'd think.

Here's an example, in Canada, not USA (and this dealer gets a lot of complaints), but decent spec - nice PlanetX HT frame, with Pike fork, for <$900cdn:

I've been riding a Ridgeback (smaller version of the Armadillo) for 2 years and it's been great.
