I am going through a frame recall with Cannondale. Currently I have a 2008 Team Scalpel, the frame is being replaced with an Scalpel Ultimate. My old derailleur won't fit on the new frame so I have to go with a S3 type. Is the XX the best on the market right now, or is there something that would work just as good for the money? I don't race but I do play hard

SRAM makes S3 front derailluers down to the X-7 level. All the levels work quite well, it's more about weight than performance.
