I took the rings of my wife's new crankset, and now I can't remember which way the middle ring goes on. The other two are pretty obvious, but I'm stumped on the middle.

Looking at the generic image below, is that the front or back of the ring?

pins and ramps face the the frame also line up the nub with the crank arm. so looking at your pic take that side and face it towards the frame instead of the outside. also in the 12 o clock position of the pic their is a nub, line that up with the crank arm
