which do you think is a better freeride frame i was looking for at least 7 inches of travel but ive heard very good things about the g-spot, o and i would build the bike up so dont think about the components and cost is not an issue. thanks for your opinions

they are all pretty similar, except the big hit. the cove is more expensive isn't it? it sounds like you have already got your mind set on the cove. i have a 2003 stinky that's pretty much stock and i like it a lot. i know a guy who has a big hit comp with a super t and he seems to really like that too. what big hit were you thinking of getting? good luck, although i didn't help much.
I'm biased but the Stinky Deelux is a gret bike. But if money is no option get the Stinky Supreme!

what's a stinky supreme? did you mean stinky primo?
All good bikes

BigHit has the better rear suspension.
Kona has more overall strength and balance.
Cove a lot like Kona but it's rare so the kewlness factor is higher.

Can't go wrong with any of them.
Given that line-up I take the G-spot..... seems just a tad burlier then the stinky, which is already a great design...beef it up a bit and and you've Cove... you'll get more for you money with the kona though...

no he didn't. theres gonna be a bike called the stinky supreme in the 05 kona line up. its pretty pimp, but to me it just looks like a re-badged stinky 9.

back to the topic.

which model stinky and bighit would you be getting? if you were getting a stinky deluxe/primo that would rule both the other bikes in my opinion. ive ridden all the bikes, and i dont really think hte g-spot is on the same level. its not as beefy, and felt like crap when i rode it. ride both the stinky and the bighit, and decide thats really the only way htis argument can be solved, by personal preferance.

stinky's are better
thanks for your replys, i think i would get the bighit comp or expert, and the stinky primo or dee lux so....

which one would be better for like urban hucking, like riding around campus to jump off of stuff :D and the occasional trail ride
The bighit might be better for urban and hucking as it is a little more dh oriented.

I think you have already decided against the G-spot, but just in case..

I've ridden one and that concentric (around the BB) pivot point makes it wallow in its travel. In other words, it really sucks to pedal around. Just cause it looks burlier doesn't mean anything, it's a bad design.
well i havent really decided on the g-spot yet, i am actually leaning toward the kona a little more, but i am still trying to be very open minded, and by urban hucking i dont reallly mean dh type stuff i mean like jumping off of ledges to flat, and stuff like that so basically i need somthin that will stand up to a little abuse ;)

first, there is no differance in strength between the bighit or the kona,---i ride a bighit and do urban/huckin plus I DH on weekends. its a great bike, pedals good, and as for the 24inch wheel, its a bit stronger and coners better...much livlier than a 26....the only expeiriance i had with a kona was on a friends stab...i dont like the pedal feedback it gives and while you pedal/brake, the rear suspension stops workin...bad design i guess but he never had problems with it and added a floating caliper to stop the rear from locking when he brakes...i would go with the bighit though...better design, better feel, and the FSR suspension is worth it alone....
Biased tward the KOna , as I have a 03 DeeLux w/ 170mm Shiver.
Never noticed the pedalfeedback/brakejack.
Friends been abusing a bighit w/ 200mm 888 with lotsa urban (9-10`feet to flat, etc etc) and it finally gave up after about a year and cracked at the down/headtube.He got a new frame though no questions asked.
Banshees are tough and pedal better than the Kona. , but i guess a Kona would pedal the same with the new propedal or other platform shock.
U can see the Stinky Primo at kona.dk .Its a 2005, basicly a upgraded Stab primo frame corrected for 200mm 888 and cabel below as opposed to on top like the Stab primo .
No experience with Coves bot like tha face that theyre are little longer than the Konas
Cheers
If you need something to stand up to a bit of abuse, id get the Cove. Plus, nobody else has them like the Kona or Bighit....and they seem a bit stronger.

I just bought a 2004 G-Spot this year. I test rode all three bikes.

My impressions were that the G-Spot with the 5th Element was by far the best pedaling bike. The Stinky pedaled quite well, and the BigHit was a pig. For just going down, I think the BigHit would be the best. It was quite slack in the angles, and just seemed to be very squishy.

The G-Spot has only 6 inches, but is exceptionally well made, and is a good price. I was suprised by the price in fact. If you talk to the guys at Cove, they are really good to deal with.

The Stinky and BigHit are great value as well. I don't think you'll be able to decide on price alone.

I think you should test ride all these bikes. The Stinky and G-Spot aren't too far apart in ride quality, but the BigHit feels quite different. If you still want a Cove, but want more travel, how about the Playmate? That has adjustable travel and is very burly.

I love my G-Spot, and am very happy with my decision. Cove has been great to deal with as well.

Just my $0.02,
Dave

Hey with the bikes your looking at I'd say check out the Banshees... I ride a Banshee chapperal and my buddy has a 03 Stinky Dee-lux.... The Chap is just like the Kona but a bit beefier. with the romic it pedals fantastic.... I have had no problems..so it's like the stinky but a little better :)

An excellent idea. The Banshees are very nice, and I think the company is very good at standing behind their products.
Get a Cove G-Spot or a Big Hit and Put a Super T on the front.
