I plan on taking a couple of days off work to ride on the Womble Trail in Arkansas. Where is the best place to stay and is the Womble Trail what everyones says it is?

Most of the lake resorts are small and and very poplar in the summer. They stay booked. Hot Springs is less than an hour away and has lots of rooms.

Yes, the Womble is everything people say it is and more. Sweet singletrack for many miles.
There are some nice cabins up near Fisherman's Village. Dirt Rag ran an article about the trail not long ago.
The trails are great! I would not make a special trip this time of year though (unless you are fairly close). It is BRUTALLY hot in the low areas and even higher up on the trails it is pretty rough. The trail is so gorgeous in the fall, you really should hold off, or maybe just make a scout trip now and then the big riding trip in the fall. There is good hiking and fishing in the area also.
That part of AR really is a nice place.
