Hey everyone, just had a few questions.

I am very new to this sport. I've been surfing and playing hockey all my life but recently realized that as i pursue the career I want I might not be able to live near the coast my entire life so I wanted to get into something that I can do even if I need to move inland.

I just picked up my first ride. It's a hardtail 29er.

My next question is where I should start riding in souther california, more specifically, orange county. I want a good spot to learn the ropes where I won't be getting in the way of others.

Please throw some suggestions my way. They're all appreciated.

If you want to ride some flatter areas, with some climbs to ride or walk.
I pick these places:

Chino Hills State Park (Yorba Linda)-Telegraph Cyn
Fullerton Loop
Irvine Park
Peter's Canyon
Aliso and Wood Canyon-Wood Canyon Trail

And by the way, you'll always get in the way of someone when riding in SoCal!! We have a lot of trail users.
