Hi,

Looking for recommendations for mtb trails around Danville / San Ramon. Something with out cow drops as I have encountered already. I'm new to the bay area. Thanks!

Virtually all EBRPD "parks" feature cows. It seems to be the primary purpose of the East Bay Regional Pasture District. Recreation takes a back seat here. Don't complain, they suck up to the ranchers so we can get more land in the future.

For a schit free experience, try Mt Diablo. The State does not need cows to make a park, in fact they are banned there. Pasture District are you listening?

I found the trailhead to Summit Trail / Dan Cook Canyon. Where should one park? At trailhead if there is a space or near the bottom at the school? Does the street require a parking permit? Mt Diablo Scenic Blvd. has "No Parking" sign all the way up to camp ground entrance.
