Hey all,

I have a lazy-ass rear deraileur (shimano LX). I am 99% sure my sluggish up shifting is due to a weak spring. Anyone know where I can get a SRAM Bassworm on-line? Preferably a Canadian dealer (as there will be no mystery customs charges)? But I'd look into getting one from the US if it wasn't going to cost more than a new derailleur.

Or any other solutions to a weak springed deraileur??

Basically the way I recall using it was to enhance the rear derailleur spring resistance - and therefore the shifting. Preserves Rear Derailleur Shifting Performance. Prolongs shifting quality.

Twenty bucks, US dollars. I just ordered one to assist my eleven year old XTR derailed. Should help me get a few more years out of it. And the grime prevention it provides are worth it alone. Don't know why there is negativity about these. They provide a simple proven mechanical advantage.
