I'm gonna take all of July and August off this summer. I've been thinking of hitting the BC area for a month, and France/Italy for another month. Though I've also thought of just doing 2 months in Canada as I would have a car there, and allow me be more adventures with climbing and kayaking. In Europe I wouldn't, so I'm not really sure how I'd get around. Would a rental car be advised?

Monaco to Finale Ligure area seems to have plenty of good riding. Anywhere else you'd recommend for a month? Or any other itinerary?

How much time should I stay in Squamish, Whistler, Kamloops? Is 2 months good time, or should I stick to a month??

That's a good chunk of time off. I'd suggest trying to go somewhere you normally wouldn't have enough time to. BC is pretty accessible to most of us in North America. If I had that much time off and could afford it I'd go to Europe.
