Can I buy just the thru-axle?, Are they all the same? Who makes them? How much are they? I was just wondering since they seem to usually come with the fork I believe.

Most shops can order the thru axle from the fork manufacturer or distributor. Most thru-axle forks are 20mm but the ends and the overall length may be different. I stock the RockShox Boxxer thru-axle. On rear hubs the thru-axles are made by the frame manufacturers, But Hadley Racing make some of the standard rear axle sizes like the 10mm x 135mm spacing, 12mm x 135mm spacing and the 12mm x 150mm spacing. I also stock the Hadley axles.
