I let my chain fall way out of spec and it killed my cassette so I'm replacing both at the LBS. I'm looking to pick up a couple cassettes, chains, and some brake pads but all the normal places are out of stock. Should I just limp along until parts come back or does anybody know a good source?

Also, both of my bikes are Shimano 11 speed and I'm hoping spares could service both bikes. My giant is XTR 11-46 and Ragley hardtail is Deore M5100 11-51. I assume a chain would be compatible, just different lengths?

Patience is the key here. Components are constantly being restocked but sell out rapidly. Choose your favorite online retailers and every morning check to see if your part is available, if it is don't hesitate to hit the buy button, if you wait chances are the part will be gone before the end of the day.

I bought two Shimano chains a couple weeks ago from a seller on Amazon. For the most part if I want to buy 6 bike parts I need to source them from 3 or more sellers. Many small bike shops that sell online have had items not sold by anyone on Amazon. I end up paying more for shipping with this process but I get the items I need. Quite a few items I have bought in the past 30 days are now on backorder until sometime in 2022 so get what you need now. Hording is likely also causing problems.

I've got a new set of wheels coming and wanted to get rotors & cassette. A little searching got me the rotors a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for an SLX or XT 10-51 cassette which I couldn't find at any of the normal online sellers. But a quick Google search and looking under the "Shopping" results I found both at smaller bikes shops. Ended up getting the SLX from Thunder Mountain Bikes in Sedona and added some brake pads too since they had them. They were the same price as the big guys. Great service, well packed and fast delivery. Same with pedals. For many it just takes a little digging.
