Hey,
I am in Southeastern SK. There are very few trails (read none) around here and what seems to be a disproportionate number of "No Trespassing" signs on all the areas that aren't roads.
In this sort of situation, do you guys bomb around the gravel roads and oil patch roads and game trails if you can find them?
EDIT: The nearest trails are up around Regina (2 hours driving) and Minot, ND (2ish hours as well)

Personally, I would move. That looks like a desolate place lol.
Lol. That is in the works... Currently a Power Engineer going to transitiong to a Water Engineering Tech.... That will bring me back to the Left Coast there.
Edit: I do live in Palliser's Triangle... That's a pretty desolate area...

Sadness.
I'm so old, I remember rural areas wit few or no no trespassing signs. I got into mountain biking in part because my friends and I were destroying that mindset with our dirtbikes in the 1970's.

Since moving is in the works, my advice matters little. But if you were staying, I'd probably learn who controls access to some really choice areas. Hunters and fishers often try to make friends to gain access to plots...landowners are concerned about privacy, liability, etc. but often allow their friends to come out and play.

I ride on gravel roads when I can't ride trails. The gravel roads are boring as heck, but they are good training for the mountain.

Haha, thanks for all the responses! I live in a condo so no back yard for me!
I have just over a year and a half to pound out some make-shift trails before I go to school in the Okanagan.

Get some narrow semi-slick tires, setup your suspension stiff, and ride the dirt roads....?
