It depends: If you already have an eye on a specific model I guess it could drop the price (sale) when the new things arrived. FYI, new thing ever have sales at the begining so wait a little bit unless you want to pay full price
Toff,
a lot of the time(but not always) it pays to buy the older model in the sale and for a small cost upgrade it yourself to the brighter Leds that they will put in the new modle. You do need to be a bit of a DIYer though.
Well, in terms of Lupine, even if you buy something now, when upgrades are available, you will be able to diy... This has already happened with the Wilma last year.
But if you want something new, wait till about august...
To the OP, there seems to be good sales now and then in the northern summer so keep an eye out, I got a MinewtX2 for 140US$ about this time last year (great for us southern hemisphere riders).
August 15th for the new Light & Motion Seca. It's bound to be one of the best new offerings of the year in terms of price and performance. There will be a 700 lumen version and a 400 lumen version. See the NEWS section of bikelights.com for more as well as theledrevolution.com.
For NiteRider the TriNewt will remain unchanged as their top LED, so don't expect any bargains on that light.
