I want to get a wheel truing stand. Besides Park tool, is there any alternative that wonrks and won't break the bank?

Thanks

I really like the feedback sports unit. When I started building fat bike wheels I had to abandon my old truing stand in favor of the Feedback and I have been happy with it. I don't know what the Park costs but the Feedback retails for $150.

as a complete noob in truing stands, I bought this for $65 and I do like it. Unfortunate It just barely fits my boost rear wheel.

For occasional truing and wheel building just use your fork or bike.
To do the truing, put a zip tie where it is angled against the rim. TIlt that in/out to get rid of rubs and to center. You can use a small ruler to make sure you’re centered as well.

Use a rubber band to secure a pencil to the stay for a quick and easy truing stand. I don't have experience with anything other than Park Tool stands so can't help you there.

If you can find the spin doctor stand it's pretty nice for the price.

That's the thing with the chinese clones they can be a gen or 2 behind. I sure that is modeled on the TS-2.0. Park sells extension adapters that will help with boost hubs and 29er wheel but the bigger calipers update may not fit unless it's a true clone. They cost more than your stand though.

^^This^^ works fine. If you check out Roger Musson his recommended wheel stand ain't all that fancy and just made from plywood.

I just upgraded from the Feedback truing stand linked above to the Park TS2.2. I never liked the one sidedness of the Feedback stand. And I don't do well with DIY methods like some have mentioned. They never seem to work for me.

But I would like to do more wheel building in the future so for me the price is worth an it. Also, I got mine at wholesale.

If you're in NorCal I'll sell you my Feedback ts.

Another alternative is to build your own, especially if you're truing wheels occasionally. There are a lot of DIY resources on it and makes for a good non ride day project.

Just flip the wheel on the stand or on the bike to make sure the wheel is dished properly.
