I currently run old DT hub with mavic 819 ust rims and Maxxs Larsen LUST tyres on my race bike. For next years xc season I want to lighten my wheel set.
I've narrowed the decision down to -
1. Stans ZTR Olympic rims with Hope Pro II hubs or DT 240 hubs
2. American Classic Factory wheels.

The ZTR rims have the advantage of being tubeless specific, but the American Classic wheels are some way cheaper.
The weights come out similar unless I use the DT240 hubs.
Anyone run both of these to give the pros and cons?
Does anyone think the DT aerolite spokes are worth it on the custom built wheels, I've never seen a picture of them, are they like the flat mavic slr spokes?

My two cents:

I own an AC wheelset with Sapim X-ray spokes. I really love the wheelset, but you've got to stay on top of hub maintenance, and the AC rim seems to ding easily.

Personally I'd go with the ZTR Olympics laced to DT 240's, or AC hubs to save some cash.

And the DT aerolite spokes are probably closer to Sapim X-rays.

BTW, you'll probably save the most weight by switching from UST tires to regular.
