It reminds me of the old White Industries hubs. The leafs that sprung the paul's would always get garbled-up in the freehub causing jams.

don't think those little grooves should be there between the pawls.

The Inboard freehub bearing is gone! That's the first time I've seen that happen to a Hope, seen the freehubs crack, pawl springs fail and the pawls themselves come apart. The grooves would be from the drive teeth in the hub shell.

Get a hold of Hope, they'll help ya out, probably send you a Stainless Steel driveshell to replace it

We have a winner!

Heard a weird noise from the rear on this mornings ride, cut it short and pulled the hub apart.... this was the result :-(

This was a stainless steel replacement for a cracked alloy freehub, see http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=283367&page=2.

I have no doubt Hope will warranty it, but I'm a little concerned as I'm not doing anything radical on the bike.
