So i'm looking at new wheelsets and i keep finding that there are lots of different amounts of spokes on the rims. What is the difference, i'm guessing strength vs. weight. But for example would 24 spokes per rim hold up for me? How do i determine this.

btw: i'm 200lbs and ride pretty hard (XC, no drops, but i like techincal stuff)

No, I dont think they will. My only ride on 24 spoke wheels was horrible and they were immediately returned. 24 spokes is way too flexy for clydes like us. 28 up front might work but why risk it? Just get 32/32.
