Yesterday I did a full-on over-the-bars, scorpion-landing on my face in the gnarliest rock garden at Keystone. It felt wonderful:rolleyes: . Anyways, when I got up I noticed that both of my brake levers had been bent ever so slightly in towards the bar. There's no way I'm buying new levers because of such a little bend, so I'm gonna try to fix them. Should I just have at 'em with a couple of vice grips, or should I heat the levers up before I try, or what? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Don't heat them. Aluminum does not become gradually malleable with heat like steel. Vice grips will gouge them up. The best way is to take the lever off, clamp it in a vise (use soft-jaws if you have them; if not, use a scrap of leather or inner tube rubber). The slip the 'hole' end (on the handle) of a Crescent wrench over the lever and SLOWLY and gently tweak it back.
