I would guess you could build a bike from $3000 to $8000 or more. But if you took an average cost of all the carbon bike builds, what kind a money did we spend? I'm think mine is going to be right under $3500.00.

Also, What are you guys running for seat posts in a carbon frame? Carbon or a metal type. Alum or TI.

Somewhere between the $1500-10,000 mark.
Nicer components will increase that cost.
Parts bin components can be used for less.

My favorite color is purple.

mine would be about $3,900.00 but i got a little break on the frame and repurposed my rear WI Eno hub. Everything else was bought new for this build. Specialized Stumpjumper SS with Tower Pro fork and S-works carbon seat post.

WI Hubs/freewheel
Hope X2 Race brakes
Hope "floating disc" rotors
Stans rims
Easton EC70 bar
XX1 cranks/mrp bling ring

most fun bike i have ever built.

I plan to build a Single Speed Marin CXR 29er carbon for around $2000.

$1300 for the frame and Kinesis Maxlight IX carbon fork, the rest into components, most parts bought from heavily discounted sales.
