The back wheel of my 2012 Roval Control wheelset is beyond repair. I kept breaking spokes on it and kept replacing them until the spokes had such uneven tension that it was impossible to get it remotely true. Its now sitting in my garage in the corner with a 1" wobble side to side.

I'd toss it, except for the fact that the rear hub is a DT Swiss 240S. Specialized wants 170 dollars to rebuild it with a new rim and spokes. What else can I do with it? Any recommendations on rims that are similar?

Truthfully $170 on a wheel that uses DT Revs spokes, alloy nipples, and a quality rim is pretty cheap.

It's a 32 spoke hub, lots of options to build a new wheel on it. A Stans Crest, Velocity Blunt SL, WTB i19, or a Pacenti CL25 would all be nice light XC tubeless rims.

I've got those same wheels and from the research I did they are basically a rebranded DT Swiss XR400 rim, They have an ERD of 605. This gives you the option of replacing them with the same spokes with either Crest rims or I have heard of people using Light bike rims. Obviously you should double check those numbers.
