what tubes ar you guys running in your dh race bikes? i have thick dh tubes in my kona and want to run regular tubes in the glory for weight. but dont want to get anything flatted (rim or tube) on rocky sections especially during a race

Go tubeless.

Continental tubes are a decent weight and still hold up pretty well.

As long as you have enough air pressure to not pinch, you should be fine.

I have never flatted a maxxis dh tube, even at [email protected] keystone. I've flatted everything else, including intense, which are complete and utter crap. I've never noticed the maxxis being all that heavy.

The Intense tubes do suck. My Nokian Unitubes have never flatted, but DH tubes are on the weighty side. I ended up throwing Contis in there, and then I went tubeless.
