The bad news is that my local cannondale dealer has lost its competant lefty mechanic and stopped servicing or resetting the needle bearings

the good news he has moved and opened up 1 mile from my house

I therefore want to acquire the tools to enable either him or me to reset the bearings so I can keep my old 2001ish ELO going

so what do I need and where can I find the (des)structions

Bearing reset thread....

I dont know if the bearing reset is different for the ELO, I would assume it is because of the electric box in the top of the lefty...

no its an old school lefty

that means a castle tool KT004 IIRC and apparently a bearing reset tool

if anyone has the right bits of kit and want to part with them let me know

the good news is that the damping can be reset by varying the shims the problem is that its a return to shop job for each change
