The front wheel on my fairly new trek is bent, not even rideable, should i throw the wheel away or is there somebody that rebuilds them? Hate to throw stuff away.

Wheelbuilders rebuild them. You can be one if you read the info in my sig.
wheel buiilding is pretty simple, but most ppl wont attempt it because it looks tought lol

sure your first couple wheels may not be exactly true but you will get better

so getcha a new rim and you can probably re-use the spokes but new spokes always helps

You can recycle the rims, nipples, and spokes so technically your not throwing anything away.

Build or have built a new wheel on your existing hub:thumbsup:

if this is a stock wheel then forget... a new one will be cheaper unless you rebuild it yourself

Make a picture frame out of the rim.... for a really cool MTB shot.
I agree with Alez K , depending on what the wheel cost your better of getting a new one .
Taking it to a bike shop is going to be expencive and likely not worth it .I wouldnt mind at all learning how to do it myself depending whats bent and how much for the parts .
