I'm 18 months into riding in Maine. After riding out west on two different trips on full suspension I want to ride the same here at home. The problem is what do I buy.
I have visited 5 shops and little inventory to actually see, never mind ride.
Based on what I have seen the Giant Trance and Trek Fuel Series have my attention. While price is important, I don't want to but less than I need. However I am finding that I don't know enough about components when looking at the dirrerence betweem $1600 and $2300 bikes and do not want to spend money on components that simply require more maintenance.
Trance series appears to be the most bang for the buck?
Trek looks like a great bike, is it worth the extra $700 for Fuel EX 8 over the EX 7?
