Hey guys I ride a 2013 trek rumblefish elite and last year I purchased the kenda honey badger tires. I do like the tires alot for the Amt of grip and toughness they have. But there just too damn heavy for climbing or trying to keep up with my buddies.
I'm thinking about running the schwalbe knobby nics this year. What do you guys think? I believe they're about 1/2 lb lighter than the kendaS. My lbs also reccomended maybe running a knobby nic up front and a rocket Ron on the back .
my overall goal is to be lighter/faster on the trails but also want a tire that has good grip and toughness.

i do run tubeless already.
thanks.

I have a Trek EX 7 and recently switched to a tubeless setup and have Hans Damf 2.35 front and Nobby Nic 2.25 rear. Trailstar and pace star respectively. Did a pretty fast night ride last night that had climbing and a faaaast and rocky downhill. The setup was awesome. Just amazing. Ran 27 front and 28 rear. Perfect control. I'm in SOCal so ride a lot of dry dirt/loose gravel.
