I think something like an Advantage would do fine, the catch is that anything single ply has to be run with higher pressure or else you WILL pinch flat; trouble is the terrain at BL is very loose and not very conducive to high pressure single plys hooking up that well.

I'm running a specialized eskar control 2.3. I had good success with it out there on the SD course a few weeks ago. The armadillo elite, not so much. It seemed more like a 2.2 and wouldnt hook up its bead. Plus with the inevitable rain this weekend it will be much stickier. The SD course has few places to pinch flat if you choose the correct line. the only real place to flat are in the first 1/4 and the last 3/4. Good luck out there!
