What material is best for AM? I hear carbon fiber is way better, a guy at my LBS was telling me that its way better. But I've been hearing good things about Ti. Should I get a full suspension Ti bike? What's the best?

ti is great if you can afford it. carbon is good too. but the vast majority of people ride aluminum and it works fine.

**** this ********.

You cannot be serious.
seriously guys, I'm not sure if my LBS is just trying to pull a fast one on me because they sell trek bicycles, and want me to buy a carbon remedy, but I'm thinking of getting a moots ti bike because I heard Ti was better then carbon fiber. I heard aluminum is super heavy and jittery.
Carbon explodes when exposed to dirt
Something to do with static charged particles
cabon is the most expensive, therefore when at the lbs, its the best. similar to how the size in stock is always the size that they think fits you ;)
mountain, mountain is the best material.

(also a Remedy is a very nice bike...)

You think they'd sell what has the best margin, not the highest pricetag...
well do you guys think a moots ti FS would be better or a carbon remedy 9.9? I'm 6'1, the guy thinks I should be on the medium they have, does that sound right? I heard some people thought steel was good too, is it better?

Really, stop it already.

damnit....no, don't think a M will fit you at 6'+...if you don't know from hanging out on here (3ooo posts plus), look at your type of riding and figure out what you need. those are two entirely different bikes.

edit:
Moots has 71.5* HA
Trek has 68*
Just to show how different they are.
Gnar. If there's gno gnar in it then what the f*ck's the point? Make sure it's ggot gnar...
Trollium is the best combo of light weight/stiffness.

Naturally...which is why they want you to think carbon is the best. It'll eventually catch on that carbon bikes shouldn't cost much more than aluminum.

Carbon Fiber dust is hazardous, too:thumbsup:
Material?

Corduroy

When you pedal it makes that cool swoosh-swoosh sound.
