So spring has arrived in C. NM! And we had great snowpack (for here) this winter, which means lots of runoff (for here). Did a really nice downhill in a lower portion of the mountains (9000 ft topout). Had to trudge through a little snow, but not bad. Got soaked on the downhill though. No making fun of the amount of runoff! Keep in mind the rest of the year there is no water in these places! Lots of water, maybe the forest won't close in the summer!

Also, gratuitous shot of my bike, with great backdrop.

Love that last picture. Where was it taken?

We've got some serious streams flowing in the Abq. foothills which is always good to see this time of year.

Santa Fe's streams look like white water rapids, at least the one I saw yesterday did.

Hey! Put that back where you found it!

You are looking at melted snow that is being driven from it's natural home in the mountains. Please capture it, refreeze it (powder form, if possible) and return it to it's native habitat. Thank you for your cooperation in the New Mexico snow maintenance program. ;)

Yes, the lift-served ski season is (mostly) over. Anything much happen here since Thanksgiving or so?
