What is the best SS bike for dirt jumping and Urban?

I am looking at the Specialized P1, but some of the components on that bike are not up to par. It is light and with some aftermarket parts, it would be a killer bike, but what is another light quality bike i can get?

How about the Kona Cowan?? It has the sliding drops like the Unit.

You're asking on the wrong message board.

Chameleon is "good" for that if you get a size smaller, but it's more of a versatile XC bike, that you can DJ if you wanted to. I wouldn't say it's even close to the best, but you'll get that around here.

Hit up message boards on NSMB, Always Mad, Dropmachine or H-Core and gather your information there.
Check out he Kona Cowan or the Identiti 666/Dr. Jekyll frames.

They used the vertical dropouts that slide for adjustment.

I used to ride the Cowan and really liked it.
Why so light? You save quite a bit just by avoiding gears and chain-guide equipment, so don't bother worrying about too much weight in the frame and fork. That, and it's not really worth it to save a bunch of weight on a bike designed to be flogged.

Me? I'd go cheap 'n heavy - Azonic Steelhead with a DJ1 (or lesser Sherman model), and some Surly bolt-on hubs on some super wide rims, and some light(er) tires to finish 'er off.
