I used to always purchase the XTR CS-M950 8-speed cassette, but those don't seem to be available anymore.

What is the best 8-speed cassette still available? All I seem to be able to find is the SRAM PG-850.

Looking for something with a 32 tooth top cog, lightweight, strong.

I'm quite fond of the M900 cassettes. They're still around, you just have to dig a little.

M900, best 8spd cogset that Shimano made.
Not too hard to find.

yep, the 900 or 950 are the only shimano ones w/ 32. harder to find than the xt 11-30, these days.
my sample size of sram's 8spd is only 2, but I didn't like the shifting compared to lx-xtr.

Anyone have time on a current Suntour 8 speed cassette? They have a 32-11 that is cheap...

M900 mmmmm. Damn why do they keep wearing out?? Eventually I will try a sram, but not yet.

Can get the "low end" CS HG-50 cassettes in 11-32 8 speed. They last longer than the M900 units also. They do weigh a tad more, but they're way cheaper too. Shifting is excellent.
