I've had a lot of work done to the bike and it is almost ready. Once I unveil, I think people will like it!

Right on. I'm guessing it's a brand new Ti Steve Potts with Type II, Potts stem and drop bars. And the fixed angle seat post is brand new.

I'd rock one of those posts if I didn't have to dial in the seat position with a file and whatnot. That sounds like a total pain.....

It's not just that the post is inordinately high, it's that the stem will need to have five inches of rise (and the bar-ends turned skywards), to fit ;-)
PS: I reduce the same effect on *my* bikes, by using two inch riser bars ;-)

I am particularly lustful looking at that post as the Thomson in mine is driving me nuts. I think a call to Eriksen is in order, their 30.9 is very nice, and more available than that purdy thing you have there.
