I have an 07 Anthem 1 and am going to replace the headset. I remember seeing something about integrated and non-integrated headsets, 1" and 1 1/8" headsets. I'm not getting any response from Giant so what are my options, what kind and size do I need. I would like a Chris King headset, or a Cobalt XC SL. Any other suggestions?

Edit: I just searched arounf on the web and have figured out that I have an integrated headset, but no confirmation on size, what are my options now, can I change to threadless?

It's not integrated, it's just internal and it's already threadless (threaded 1" steerers were the original sort that you can still find on kids bikes etc). You cannot put a King external headset and bearing cup on a headtube designed for an internal cup & bearing.

To answer your original query, FSA Orbit or Cane Creek zero stack internal headsets are both fine, I've been running them for 6 years without a replacing a bearing. (Well worthwhile cleaning and regreasing the lower bearing once or twice a season).

No, you linked to the Integrated version that used no cups, the bearings just sit in the frame headtube..that's not the one you need.

As Haggis stated, you need the Cane Creek Zero Stack internal type:

or the FSA Orbit Z:

Supposedly FSA made the headsets for Giant...see this thread where the OP was looking for a replacement crown race on an

Cheers thx

Anyone know where I can get one of those FSA Orbit Z Ceramic headsets from online? I've checked the usual suspects and no dice.
You don't need to go to the expense of the ceramic one, just get the normal Orbit Z one. A few on-line places have those in stock.
