Good riding with singletrack, davec113, and eric the red, for the 1.5 runs I managed......

I'll stick with the hard techy stuff, but maybe be a bit more leary of drops for a while. Off the bike for a few weeks with this one. And easy stuff whenback to it. Felt like I landed ok, but somehow ended going down and off the bike in some rocks after the landing. Not sure what happened or what went wrong.

Bad displacement, with nasty avulsion. 8 stitches. No apparant tendon damage, no fracture.
Armour rocks! Everyplace I was covered is, of course, uninjured.

Hmmm, since I'm off the bike anyhow, maybe now is the time to get that vasectomy Ms. scrub and I have been talking about......

And I feel like a total wuss, since this is nothing compared to what Francois is goiung through!

Bummer Dave! Keystone doesn't seem to be a good place for you to ride--first you kill your hardtail and now your finger. Then again, by that logic, I should stay away from there too, but it's just SO MUCH FUN!!! Heal quick and hopefully you'll be back on the bike before the lifts close.

Cheers,
K

Man Scrubby, that is a nasty dislocation on that XRay. Unfortunately I know all too well how bad it sucks to sit on the sidelines during riding season, so best wishes on healing quickly.

Glad it wasn't worse, hopefully you'll still salvage the better part of the season.

Damn! That X-ray looks scary!

Heal up and rock on! How long are you out for?
i can likely start doing some mellow road rides in a week, but dirt is going to be several. probably three minimal. and even when i do, i'll have to take it easy for the rest of the season.

i'm getting better at working the laptop one handed at least, and have a big stack of books i've been meaning to read. off work for a week or two, at least as well.

Bad news.

You didn't pop that bad boy back in on the trail?:D

Heal quick, we will miss you beer shots.

Maybe Jdub and I can get up in the high country and fill the void soon.

Dayum, D, ya did a fine job there. Let's hear the story of needle nose pliers and rings.

Good thing it wasn't your F-bomb finger.

I read about your Keystone contusion on the local board and had no idea about the carnage.
Normally, your post ride pics and write ups are awesome, and if I see your name as the OP I know its going to be worth a look. This time was no different, great post as always Scrublover. ;) I'm not trying to downplay the injury, and you have my sincerest sympathies. Your passion is strong, perhaps this 'side-trail' you are on will be just as rewarding. Make the best of it

AND out of work for at least a week. That's super sucky.

Make the best of it.

And heal up before ibmkid gets the gathering going in mid Sept.

Oh! One other question!

Will you still ride with rings? I'm wishywashy on the subject.
