I guess my carbon repair is good!

Good question. In 4 decades of mtn biking I have broken many bikes including but not limited to Ventana and Moots. But not a Turner. I got 5 years out of my 5spot and 5 years on my RFX. The quality, finish, and attention to detail by DT was always top notch.

I did have someone ask me if I had a warranty on my total knee replacement recently so there's that.

Funny how different experiences can be. My contrasting (but equally anecdotal) experience is 4 or 5 broken Turners. But all handled under warranty w/o hassle.

First was a 5 Spot. Snapped the brake side chainstay in half, near the dropout.

Next was a Flux. Snapped the seat tube in half landing about a 12 inch drop.

Next was two consecutive Sultan frames, both snapped seat tubes at same spot. Later iterations of the frame (and both my warranty replacements) had a reinforcing gusset added to the area.

Having given up on future Turner models, I recently sold my O2 (never broken!) for peanuts on eBay. I had been holding onto it as a $600 discount coupon for the new Sultan that never materialized.

That leaves me with a Czar as my sole Turner steed. Mostly use it only on super long days, or technical multi-day bikepack routes. I just wish it had internal routing for the dropper (and I'm pretty sure these is no practical DIY approach with the early bushing models).

Was a great run and a great forum! I recall TSCheezy's amazing posts too, with Barney. I wonder what happened to him. My Flux is still with a buddy. I sold my Sultan and 5 Spot to local guys. All the best to DT!

No, not the last time I checked. But I was kinda skeered. I'm no spring chicken either but can't claim the oldest to drop the Chewy line. That distinction goes to Simon the Bossman.
