What does the FUTURE hold ???

The fat bike `wave` keeps on rollin'...........

Lots of experimentation with forks/rims/frames.

Increased realisation that a Fatbike CAN be your only bike if you want it too.

The FS Snaux bikes have caught my eye and it has got me thinking.........

What about a full sus Fatty ?!? :eekster:

Is this a question that is `too early` to ask or are there others out there who want max float AND full bounce :D

What things do you want to see in the Fatbike future and why ????

Thanks,
Dr FG

!!! ~ TIRE OPTIONS ~ !!!

The endo is a good tire but come on, the only tire?
Yeah, 1+++++ on that my friend :)
I would love a soft tail frame that can take a hammerschmidt..oh wait im working on it.

you have to wait and see.
Teaser ! :D

Who makin` that for U ????
the frame is in the works. adding hammerschmidt has been discussed. the problem is using an 83mm bb requires the chain stays will have to be longer. i am wondering if the 83mm bb can be used in the 100mm shell bb.
more tyre options:thumbsup: like a single ply high roller in 4" for xc

a single pivot 4" framset would be nice, looking at my old cannondale super v frameset hanging up
[/IMG]
and thinking it would be easy to 100mm the BB then make the swingarm offset like the pug with clearance for the endos,(not by me though!)
still think a 80mm headshock style fork would be the way to go in two options- front or offset for rear hub,:)
so cannondale build me a 4" offset rear super v frame with massive clearance and also do the same with the fork and i will stick the bill for the cadd and purcase on the morgage as it proberly wont be recovering anyway:D

the records, stuck,the records stuck..

24 in Endo....think of the possibilities,,,,FS Fatbike.....Endo tandem....true offroad Uni....a real Fatbike for Short people:thumbsup:
I sound like a broken record

I want a 24 inch Endo...the possibilities....a Fs Fatbike....a Fat tandem...a true adventure Muni (than I'd be 1wheel-1way) ....a real Fatbike for short people:thumbsup:
How about something with modern geometry. Pugs geo feels like it rolled right out of the mid '90s and most of the others I have looked at have stays way too long to make it worthy of real trail riding.

it's coming. the Jones fat bike is built to be a mountain bike first a snow bike second.
A 29" endo with a nice tread ala Smallblock 8ish. Yes it wont fit in any existing frames, but as a fronttire it will rule the snowy earth, and som techy trails to. Forks is easy and cheap to get built, considering the advantages it would give...
907

Talk to Chain Reaction in Anchorage and have them custom build a 907 with a Lightspeed Unicoi-style pivotless rear suspension and an 1 1/4" headset for an Actiontec fork. A few years ago when I thought I had money I had Seven convinced to do the same thing for me as a c-cross bike, but with all the tricks / quirks of a fat-bike frame, Chain Reaction / Merlin would have a heck of a head start on the competition. Don't forget the S&S BTC's...
bigger tires, different tread patterns. more affordable frames/components. i like the idea of mtb first, snowbike second. the fatback works well as a summer 29er, but is about as long in the tail as i would ever consider for riding on firm dirt.
Dito,Dito,Dito!! More tire choices for sure...a sand specific tire?...a dirt specific tire?...snow? The endo is a great combination of all these but use specific tires might upgrade specific performance. As far as frames go, you can have just about anything you want custom... but it would be nice if we could get some manufacturers on board. Mabey talk some of these 29er folks into building some wider versions of existing designs giving people the option of running the fat stuff... as the fat-bike is able to run a 29er set-up. A wide Gary Fisher? A wide Niner? A wide Ellsworth Evolve? you get the drift!
A fat eastern woods research would do it for me.
Jones BIke?

Any update on your Jones bike? Dying to see that! Just curious, Is your bike a Custom Jones or a Merlin Production?
