i have a cano f5 with the stock rs dart 2 and for about a month i have ridden it pretty hard 8 times (everyweekend),,,,,anyway today when i was leaning forward i heard a loud squeeking noise coming from the front of the bike....

wat does this mean...? the shock is goin bad or breaking in...?

im lookin to upgrade my shock soon anyway i just dont want to permanantly damage anything on the bike.

It's hard to say given your description of "today when i was leaning forward i heard a loud squeeking noise coming from the front of the bike...."

Give us more details. Were you riding? Were you stopped? Were you leaning forward during an extended climb? Where exactly is the noise coming from on the fork? Are you sure the noise is coming from the fork? (Noises are often difficult to pinpoint, so be sure)

The more detail you provide, the better chance you'll have in getting someone to give a decent answer.

when i ride over roots and the shock is moving up and down it makes the squeaking noise like a old bed spring.
