Found this on the internet...how much is it worth?

this bike is setup with 650B rear wheel and 29" front.

It is a 21" Performance bike frame (bare aluminum, looks SICK!!!!) with these components-
08 XT shifters
08 XT front and rear derailuers
08 XTR chain and rear cogset
TruVativ Isospline cranks and BB
08 Eggbeaters (2 sets)
08 Tektro Linear pull brake levers
Avid BB7 mech. Disc brakes
08 Deore hubs
650B Rear handbuilt Sun rim (have maybe 10 miles on them) with new tire
29" Front handbuilt Sun rim(have maybe 10 miles on them) with new tire
Rockshox Reba Race, fully adjustable travel with lockout (comes with shock pump)
Cane Creek S9 Headset
RaceFace seatpost and stem
Origin 8 carbon fiver riser handlebar
WTB saddle and another saddle if you wish
Oury grips with ODI lockons.

Like i said, the bike is pretty much brand new, and the B9r setup on it makes it spool up hills super fast, and the 29 inch front wheel handles like a dream.

Meh, not a fan of mixed tire/wheel sizes on one bike. Pick a wheel size for the bike and use it front and rear.
The parts are decent enough but you sure wouldn't enjoy riding it. Converting what looks like a regular 26"wheeled bike to that will make for some 'odd' handling. The BB is now too high and the rake has been drastically altered (much much slower) by the much higher front end.

+1. Same thing with different tires front and rear. It just makes for a unique and often irritating experience. :madman:
Anyway, it looks okay (the bike).
Nope, you are not going to like the way that thing handles. Looks like a 26" frame jacked up with the modded front end.

The BB will be too high, the HA too slack and you will basically hate this thing. I ride where you ride (Lawrence kid who's from Shawnee) and imo a full 29er is the perfect set-up for EVERY ribbon of local singletrack you will be riding.

Even if you could get this thing for $600 out the door you will be wanting an actual 29er frame and rear wheel to go along with it in the very near future.
So this bike is out of the picture. I've looked at some 29r's. I'm looking to spend around $500. I know I can't find much new for that, but any ideas where I should be looking? Also, what bike should I be looking for?
That was off Craigslist -- that's the best place to look for a $500ish 29er (provided you're not a weird size). Just today I picked up a 2008 Redline D460 w/ Juicy 7's in like-new condition for $475. It's gonna be my campus/singletrack ride
